Surfr.

Apple Watch

because all you need is a watch

Watch out: the future is here

Not everybody realizes but with Surfr you can take ONLY your watch and get everything that you would expect from a hardware sensor and more: accurate jump tracking, live display, GPS tracking and more.

The most sophisticated experience on the water

The Apple Watch

A watch offers everything and more that you expect from a tracking sensor. Accurate jump and GPS tracking with a live display. The watch is one of the most convenient ways to bring Surfr to the water. You don’t need to bring a phone when you bring the watch.

The Apple Watch is one of the most sophisticated ways of tracking your session. We have developed a lot of features specifically for the Apple Watch such as live communication, downwinder support and more. See the FAQ on how to use these features.

Full tracking

Just a watch, but fully tracked on the water. Both your route (track) and jumps are accurately recorded.

Go live!

With a cellular connected Watch you will be automatically live on the Surfr app. Both your jumps and your locations can be shared with friends at home, adding greatly to your safety as well.

No Phone Mode

Yes, that's right. You don't need a phone at all. Go out, record a session and upload the session straight from your watch.

Unique feature

Live chat & communication, on-board coaching to improve your riding and downwinder support. Just a few of the unique features that the Surfr. App is bringing to the Apple Watch.

As easy as 1-2-3

Get started in just a few steps

Step 1) Get PRO and check your Watch

First of all, get PRO through the Surfr App on your phone. Install the Surfr App from the Playstore or App Store (on your phone) and sign-up. Once in the app, press the ‘Get PRO’ button and subscribe to either the monthly or the annual subscription.

Step 2) Install to Watch

This normally happens automatically but you should check on your phone if the Surfr app is properly installed to the watch.

Open the Watch app on your iPhone and validate if the Surfr App is installed on your watch. If not click to install it.

Step 3) Open the app on the watch

Now you are ready to open the app on the watch. It will ask you for some permissions the first time, which need to be granted for the app to operate properly. If all goes well, you will reach the Start button and you’re only one click away from your first session with the Apple Watch!

Step 4) Don't lose the watch

Very important: The standard wrist bands are most of the times not sufficient for kiteboarding. It will be a matter of time before the watch slips off. Please secure the wrist band with and extra rope or buy a kite boarding proof wrist band in the Surfr Webshop.
